Nikki is a qualified psychotherapist and counsellor with a Clinical Diploma in Transactional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy, an MSc in TA Psychotherapy, a Diploma in TA Psychotherapist Counselling and is a Certified Transactional Analyst (Psychotherapy).
Nikki is a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and is a full member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and is trained in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). As well as working in private practice in North London, she has worked for a charity counselling people with addictions and supporting the families of those with addictions. Nikki has an 18 year background in business management and experience working in a challenging, fast paced corporate environment with the associated stresses. As well as counselling, Nikki teaches psychotherapy at the Metanoia Institute, Ealing.
Nikki has been passionate about horses since childhood when she experienced her first riding lesson aged 6, she went on to buy her first horse Dara when she was 17 and they were lucky enough to have a long 21 years together in which they grew and learnt from each other. In 2016 Nikki qualified as an Equine Facilitated Psychotherapist (EFP) with LEAP and incorporates EFP with into her private practice and works with Paintedhorse for large group work with charity Key4Life. Key4Life works with young men from Somerset and London deemed ‘At Risk’, and also within HMP/YOI Portland and HMP Brixton with groups of young men on Key4Life’s pre-release programme.
